Rocanville
The rest of the weekend was enjoyed in the sun. The picture of the red bush is just for you Billie. Because it was a very warm weekend the garter snakes were out sunning themselves on the road. We did our part in running over as many as we could. But first I had to take a picture. EWWW I don't like snakes. Always seem to end up at the crazy critter land enjoying time with Lady the friendly pet raccoon. It is so fun playing with her. She loves to have her tummy rubbed and all the attention. She is weighing in now at 30 pounds. Hope to see her a few more times before she goes into hibernation. Billie loves catching frogs and found a leopard frog to catch. I on the other hand would let the frogs hop away and just play with Lady. Lady also loves to chew on your finger. Now how many people can say they've had a Raccoon chew their finger. It is just so much fun. Can't wait to see her again.
Rocanville Potash Mine
This past weekend I had the privilege of touring the Potash mine in Rocanville. It is something I have wanted to do since I was a little girl. What a neat experience. Mining is huge and I found it very interesting. The only disappointing thing was we didn't drive to the top of the salt pile because it was too foggy that morning to see anything. First we toured via bus the outside parts and the new shaft they are building. Next tour was the mill tour and the last tour was the underground tour.
